...stays on your hips, thighs, and belly for WEEKS. Ugh. I was at the 20 lb mark EXACTLY the morning I left for Vegas. I am going to give myself a few days of eating better, sleeping better, and drinking water to let the cards fall, but I may have as many as four pounds to lose all over again. But it was worth it.
Our family drove to my parents' house on Wednesday and spent Thanksgiving with my Mom and Dad and sister and brother-in-law. It was great fun. And good food. Yummy. Then Brian and I flew to Vegas for a weekend getaway. I had bought Brian tickets to see the UNC Men's Basketball team play in the Vegas Invitational. They rarely play this side of the Mississippi, so I figured it was worth the splurge. BYU was also playing, so it was double the fun. We watched some basketball, met some really fun people from all over the country who are also fanatic about their basketball teams, shopped a bit, walked the strip, and fed the Vegas economy via the nickle slots. My mom was the uber Grandma and kept the kids so busy and entertained that they didn't want to leave. Brian and I flew back in at 6:00 Sunday night and we made the long drive home. This morning it was back to life, back to reality. And back to losing the weight that decided to come home with me.
I have a camera full of random pics (mostly of basketball players that no one else but Brian would care about), but I will have to post those another day. It is 9:30 pm and I am struggling to keep my eyes open.

What yougain in Vegas should stay in Vegas, that's for sure. You are looking rather hot lately, and you have worked so hard! I'm sure that those four pounds will come off soon...you have until CHristmas!
Glad you and Brian had a fun getaway! Jillise told me she was having so much fun at your mom's house that she was crying about having to come home.
Sounds like the kind of getaway Tim would love (No kids and lots of basketball!). Glad you survived the drive home.
How fun! I'm glad you had a little get away. It sounds like you planned it perfectly...drop the kids off at moms and head for the airport.
