- Finishing TWO aprons this week: one for a bunco prize, and one for ME.
- Finishing my apron with less than TWO feet of thread remaining on the bobbin. Whew! It drives me crazy to have my momentum interrupted by having to wind a new bobbin.
- Realizing that I really enjoy sewing. And that it no longer stresses me out like it used to. I don't know that my kids will be showing to up to church in homemade frocks anytime soon, but I can turn out a pretty cute bib apron in less than a day!
- Spending time with some really funny ladies at a bridal shower. It became very apparent however, that I have entered into the realm of "experienced married woman." I am part of the old guard, welcoming the young spring chickens.
- Having my children clean the toyroom (well!!) without being asked.
- Having Brian come home early.
- Tulip bulbs about to bloom.
- Finding old friends on Facebook. There is even a page dedicated to alumni of the Select Choir I was a part of in highschool. *sniff*
- Lazy Saturdays with the whole family.
EDITED: A couple of you requested apron pictures. This first one is the bunco prize. The theme this month is "green," but I didn't want an apron that screamed of St. Patrick's Day. I thought this was cheerful and fun (two things that doing housework ISN'T). The second apron is the one I made for myself. I like the long ties that I can wrap around and tie in the front. I feel less "haus frau."

Will you post a picture of the aprons?? I would love to see them! I am an apron girl and think everyone should have one. I feel much more productive with one on. Those are some fun happy things!
c'mon! you have a few productive days before Easter. I know you can turn out a few dresses for your girls and maybe some pastel ties for Brian and Jaren:)
I hope I win big and bunco and come home with a new apron!
Loving the aprons! I had just bought some new fabric and a new apron pattern right before the tendonitis hit, now it just sits with the half finished baby sweater I was working on. Hopefully I'll be up to it soon!
I love haprons! I hope I win!!
I can't wait for Bunco! See you there :)
Great work. Those aprons are cute.
YOU. ARE. SO. CUTE. And your aprons are too. I busted out laughing over the comment up there about the frocks and matching pastel ties for B and J. Serisouly I haven't heard anything funnier maybe all week. Just picture them matching in matching pastel ties is literally making me Laugh out Loud!
Ooh, and maybe some matching vests?
My life is complete. One of my kids is actually domestic! Nice work on the aprons. You say you actually ENJOY sewing now????
Mom
Ha!! I don't think Brian would wear a pastel tie OR vest. Nice try, though. And yes, Mom. I actually ENJOYED it. So much in fact, that I just purchased another cute apron pattern. I figure that aprons are very non-threatening. They aren't worn out of the house, but they make me feel cute. Perfect combination!
K, totally in love with the fabric on the second apron...and I can tell you look adorable in it. Makes me want to break out my sewing machine and head to the fabric store. :)
That apron is too cute! How did you get the kids to clean without asking?!
wow! cutest ever! You're so talented!
Okay it's official I am ready to get my machine out and start sewing! The aprons are so flippin CUUTE!
I want YOUR apron!!! What fabulous fabric!
SUPER cute. So do you take orders? :0). The shower was fun wasn't it. It is fun to welcome in the newbies.
Super cute aprons! I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will win at Bunco!
the aprons are so cute! I especially love the wrap-to-the-front ties. I love sewing too -- for some reason it just feels therapeutic to feel/hear the whiz of the machine and then to come away with something that you made with your own two hands.
I love your apron. Your new pattern is SO cute too. I wish I could sew! I'm doing good to get buttons back on! Pathetic, I know!
