Spring Break is this week. What a bust. It has been COLD, and RAINY. We had thought about making the trip to visit my parents this week, but they both still have work during the day and with the price of gas being $3.50 a gallon we decided that we should probably stay. I thought about going to the zoo, or the Science Museum. But it's too cold for the zoo and since this is Spring Break and it is cold, everyone and their germy kids is going to be at the Science Museum. So we have stayed local. We have had friends over to play, and today I even got out the crafts. I don't think the kids have minded, but I am kinda bummed that I didn't produce some sort of magical week for them. Tomorrow we will head into town and visit Brian at work (they like to look out of the high windows at the city) and go out to lunch. Then they get to accompany me to Costco. Ooooh, aaaaaah.
The upside to staying home is that I have gotten alot of work done. I have learned some new sewing skills and gotten some new aprons out of the process. My sister and brother came to visit this evening. They are all currently watching UCLA struggle against Western Kentucky. My brother is a die hard PAC-10 fan, so this is hard for him to watch. Brian is on cloud nine because UNC beat their opponent by more than 20 points. Nothing like a blowout to lift his spirits.
Boring update, huh? I do have some fun posts in the works. I turn 33 next week, then our 10th wedding anniversary is the week after that. And I am heading out to Utah for a Sister in Law weekend that I am really looking forward to. So stick with me. :)

The downside of an SUV? I about fainted today when I paid $90 to fill up my Suburban, and *that* was with the 10 cent discount!!
My kids got to go to Costco today, and we sound like we are having the same kind of Spring Break as you:) It's been pretty fun though!
Not to worry, soon the sun will melt away the snow(did I just say snow in March?!) and the next thing you know it will be summer!
"everyone and their germy kids" So funny! The highlight of my kids' week is a trip to Sam's, but only if they get hot dogs out of it. They're starting to hate shopping with me!
