I have another product endorsement.
I am back on the weight loss wagon. Again. I'm on week two. It seems that I am all or nothing kind of a gal. If I am eating right, I am exercising. If I am exercising, I am eating well. So the law of physics says that if I am NOT doing one of those things, I am not doing the other, either. One of my biggest problems is that I do not like to deny myself when it comes to food. I have a hard time choosing something small and tasteless when I could have something filling and delicious. That's why I love these:

YUM-O!! And here's a trick: when I make them, I use unsweetened applesauce instead of oil, I use egg substitute instead of whole eggs, so it adds NO FAT. I will often sprinkle some ground flax seed in there too. It adds a trace amount of fat, but it adds all sorts of good stuff, too -- like even more fiber. And the muffins are moist and yummy and they have only 3g of fat, and 5g of fiber per muffin. Yay!!! I can have two for a snack with a big glass of water or fat free milk and I am good until dinner.
Here is my weight loss chain I have hanging in my kitchen:
Every link represents a pound. After I pass the weight on that link, I can tear it off and move on to the next one. Every fifth one is yellow and it means I get a reward. There are seven links in the last set, but that's because I am my mother's daughter and I needed to land on a nice round number. Once I reach that weight I get something BIG.
SO... Bunco gals... if you see me stuffing my face on Thursday, STOP ME. Maybe I will bring some muffins to share...

So, they have the big box of those at Costco. And I have a funny story about them, but don't want to write it out, so I will give you a call sometime. Okay now!
You're rad! That's right, I said RAD! Deal with it.
I was just thinking to myself today: "Self, you need one of those cool weight loss chains like Paige. And for a birthday present, why don't you lose a pound a week for the next year? Then, you'll be well within a healthy weight range and looking fine at 34."
PS: I love that it's chained to the fridge. :)
LOVE the chain idea. I'm all for rewards, too. I think I'm gonna borrow, okay? But did I count 30 pounds? You can't possibly need to lose 30 pounds...
Mandy, there are 28 links. I will be happy if I can lose 20, but 28 will get me to my ideal "dream weight". I figure I might as well shoot for the stars. I got down to the 20 lb mark a year a half ago before I fell off the wagon (hard) and gained much of it back. I was happy with that weight, but there was still much room for improvement. So this time I am going above and beyond!
Ugghhh---weight is so stinkin stinky! All those fat percentages and BMI business--ugh again! But I love the chain idea, and I'm all about exercise and eating right! Good luck! You can do it!
Love your chain! Sadly my chain would be so long my house would look like Christmas.
I really like anything fiber one. They always have tasty stuff!
what a good idea on the chain! I love getting rewards for stuff. Go you!
And I'll have to try those fiber one muffins. I just bought a box of Fiber One chocolate granola bars, holy yum!
That chain is a great!!! idea. I am going to copy, and I am going to copy making those fiber one muffins, but not for BUNCO. Blackberry Cobbler has fruit you know so therefore it's healthy...right? Maybe you should bring a couple of muffins. :0)
You go girl!
We all know you have the willpower to do it!! Wishing you ALL kinds of good luck :)
We love love love those muffins at our house...especially when they are made by YOU ;)
