Hmmmm...
Okay, so something I have wondered for a long time... you know all of those musical groups geared toward kids that have popped up since The Wiggles?? Like the Doodle Bops, all those random groups on Jacks Big Music Show, all those even more random groups on Disney... Do you think they wake up every morning just hating life? Do you think they have always aspired to be a childrens band -- singing about cleaning up their rooms and nightmares and stuff? Do they view themselves as sellouts?? And in case you care, I don't view Laurie Berkner in this category. She seems to really like what she does and her writing shows a love and understanding of her target audience. But some of these other groups kinda give me the creeps. I wonder what the suicide rate is among second tier kid band wannabes??

I know there are quite a few out there. Even though he looks a little weird & funky I like the Danny Zanes (??) guy. And Scott likes the group of 4 guys who dress in mechanics uniforms and try to rap. In my opinion, those are the guys I look at and wonder if they really aspired to this career. I wonder if they're married? I might be a little embarrased of my husband if he was one of those guys.
I am taking the kids to see the doodlebops on the 19th of Feb. I Have often wondered the same question. Hmmmmmm.
I have pointed out to Kristin a number of times the plight of Bus Driver Bob on the Doodle Bops. Talk about a depressing life. Imagine putting "bus driver for the Doodle Bops" on your resume. Add to that the fact that you could recognize him on the street while the band goes incognito when they are out of costume, and you have a recipe for suicide.
