Today is the last day of August. That last day before I officially weigh in and start cutting the fat with the eight other people who have so far signed up. I started a private message board for the group last night and I put some of my thoughts and a recipe on there. Hopefully everyone else will start adding their ideas, too. If you want to join the club, just send me an email. You don't have to live here to do this, either. You just have to have 20 lbs to lose. (Sorry, Bonnie. I know that all of us wish we were fortunate to "only have 10 lbs to lose." I guess you can start your own skinny hiney club!

My first goal for the challenge is to get to bed by 10:00. This two fold: school starts next week for Jillise, meaning I have to up at going by at LEAST 7:00, but even earlier if I want to get my exercising in. And secondly, your body burns fat while you sleep. I have read in multiple places that people who do not get a long enough stretch of sleep at NIGHT have a harder time losing weight. Oh, and try not to eat for three hours before you go to bed so your body will kick into high gear during those early morning hours. Good luck!

I'm excited to start, and to even go grocery shopping today! And I made a nice little schedule for our family on outlook to keep us all on track and to allow time for me to get up early and go walking each morning and also stay on top of meal planning. This is all such good timing for me, I really need this shift and routine back to my days. It's go time!
I've been pretty-much at it for almost a week now ("pretty-mcuh" heavily emphasized)! I'm getting excited for a new wardrobe for Christmas:)

I have read several fitness books and it even worked really well for me in the past that if you exercise first thing in the morning before breakfast you will burn fat rather then the meal you just ate. Just a little tid bit of info I thought I'd share. But make sure to eat something within a hour after exercising.
Ok...I am ready to go for it! In my opinion the $20 is extra incentive. Not. Gambling.
I'm with you on the going to bed early thing...10pm for me, too.
With all this support we are bound to be successful, right?!
