Okay, I guess that like Shannon I am a nerd. And I am totally okay with it. I first read the description of Twilight in the Deseret Book catalog and thought, "Yeah, right." I don't DO vampires. I am not really into sci-fi or fantasy or any of those things. I am purely a chick lit type of gal. But then I started hearing from all sorts of unrelated people that they LOVED the book and I gave in and bought Twilight last week at Target. I read it in a day and then bought New Moon. Read that in a day. Now I am eagerly awaiting Eclipse. Luckily I only have to wait until Tuesday morning, when I can pick up my reserved copy.
So, whether you like vampires or not, READ THIS BOOK. It is totally a girly book. Your husbands/boyfriends/brothers will hate it, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. The author is a BYU grad and so there are no swear words or uncomfortable scenes and she has a true gift for story telling. I have enjoyed reading the chapters that were cut from the books on her website. But unlike Shannon, I have yet to download the playlists. ;) So, don't call me on Tuesday. I will be renting movies for the kids and letting them do there thing while I curl up with what is sure to be a FANTASTIC book.

I was a little worried that maybe I had raved a bit too much about the book and would be disappointed if my friends read it and thought it was just "good" or "ok". Now that would be a let-down. In my mind, this book is perfection served with an orange creamsicle and the idea that someone might think it was anything less . . . just beyond my comprehension.
I'm glad you liked it. And I'm glad you're a nerd too and added the ticker to your blog.
I desparately need someone to gush to about Edward and the whole story, and I'm not sure how much longer Scott is going to humor me! So if you want to gush, I'm here. If not, I'll try to contain myself at risk of breaking out in hives.
Maybe I'll see you at the bookstore tuesday! =)
I guess I'll have to read it after I finish the Harry Potter series. I have heard tons of great things about it from lots of different people, so I'm going to give in!
