Why is it that just about every costume maker out there thinks that adult women want to look like a hooker for Halloween? I thought this year that I would like to get a costume that I can wear every year. Something well made, something MODEST, something cute. When I start looking, I find that 95% of everything out there involves thigh high fishnets, skirts that won't even cover my hiney, and cleavage. I'm sure the Bunco group would love me showing up in THAT. So evidently Halloween is for kids and prostitutes. I guess I will throw on my which hat (complete with stringy grey hair) and call it good!

I too have a whitch's hat for the very same reason. Maybe we need to market some modest costumes. I am looking for ideas that a big belly would work well with. :0)
I saw the hooker outfits when we went looking over the weekend. That is why I am sticking with my cowgirl costume from last year. Good Luck
I think the trick is to look in the mens department. They might not have what you really want to be, but at least they're modest.
I found Snow White at Target in my size...and a wig...probably a hooker wig, but with the red ribbon tied in it will be okay for Snow White.
Go you on the 9 pounds down! You ROCK!
As for me...don't ask.
I KNOW!!! I thought the same thing -- I'll find a costume I can use for years. But like you said, most of those costumes should be reserved for bedroom use only!
If you get really desparate I have a watermelon costume laying around somewhere. :)
I totally agree with the costumes appealing to women with no class. You just have to find one that can be worked with like my pirate one I got last year. There was no way I could wear it as is, I had to modify it ALOT! BTW, way to go on your weight loss!!!!
I feel your pain. We may have to get creative and crafty and make our own. Should we plan a sewing party?
I totally agree, they are so sleazy these days. I'm still hoping to someday just find the perfect one that I can keep for years! Or maybe we should just do what Jodi suggested, and make our own?!
...Or you could just celebrate Halloween the "Aundrea" way and not dress up, just eat the good candy while making sure it's safe after trick-or-treating. I'm pretty sure I'll be using Shannon's stuff at bunco:)
