I am going to the grocery store today. It's actually going to be fun. I have two $10 off coupons (you have to spend $50 and can only use one per transaction, so I spend $50, buy the food with one coupon, then put the food in the car and go back in to use the other coupon). I also have a $20 gift card that I got for bringing in a new prescription to the pharmacy. I used Jaren's fluoride prescription -- grand total of $2.57. Score. I also found aNOTHER $10 coupon that I got for buying certain items a few weeks ago. It expired the end of last week, but I am going to see if they will let me use it anyway. It's worth a shot.

Thank you to all who helped me with info for the primary activity. I love how the internet makes it so easy to communicate with people from all over. We talked about how we are all children of God, and how the gospel is true everywhere. So I sent a questionnaire to people from all over to ask how many kids were in the primary, how close the chapel was, where the nearest temple was, what the kids like to eat, what the kids like to do in "free time" then we compared the answers to what kids here do. It was neat. The kids were very impressed that in Thailand many people take motorcycles to church. I also gave the devotional about how I am a Princess because my Heavenly Father is the King. I think it went well and that the kids got the point that I wanted to get across -- that we are all special, that our Father sent us with amazing gifts to use on our journey here on earth, and that our Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and wants us to be happy and successful.

Jillise turns seven this week. Holy cow. We are having a little party for some of her friends (it is an "off" year for big parties, so they are coming over for pizza and a movie and Shrinky Dinks).

Do you think the "hosts" on the Sprout channel go home and drink themselves into a stupor every night because they have the CRAPPIEST jobs ever??? I would if I had to interact with a squeaky chicken puppet for hours on end every day.

I need to rededicate myself to living the way I was living last August. I am up too many pounds not to.

Good luck, Sheila -- she is adding girl number FOUR to her beautiful family today!

Soccer registration is this week. We get to pay $140 for the privilege of sitting out in the freezing cold to watch TWO children swarm after the muddy ball. Of course the year we have two kids playing is the year they decide to get new uniforms. Grrrrr....

We are still on the fence about homeschooling. One day I am all for it, the next day I think that I am crazy. I need to schedule a conference with her teacher and find out what some of our options are for next year. I think that if I could guarantee that she would be in a class with a friend next year that it would help her anxiety aLOT. Then it's just the whole "the world is a terrible place to send a seven year old" argument and the lack of personal time I have with my kids.

It is going to be BEAUTIFUL today. I think I may head out and do some weeding. Fun, huh?

Random thoughts are something I am good at. Enjoy the weather and the good deals at the grocery store!
Way to go on the bargain shopping! I am impressed!
We had so many of the same random thoughts today! Except I was wondering if the creepy guy on Yo Gabba lies to women about what he does for a living.
I actually wrote a letter to the principal requesting (among other things, like certain qualities in a teacher for Number One) that Number Two have a certain friend in her kindergarten class as it would really help her with the transition, etc.
You could always try to request...there would be no guarantee, but worth a shot.
Way to go with the shopping deals! I loved, loved it when I homeschooled. It was a hard decision to go back to public school. The thing I learned is you have to do what you need to do for each child. If one works in public school, go for it, if you need them home then go for it! And it really was a beautiful day yesterday! Autumn loved the activity as well!
Ben said the activity was great! He loved his crown and is still wearing it around the house saying, 'I AM THE PRINCE'! Kudos to you :)
Even if you commit to homeschooling, in the midst of it you'll still have times when you're all for it and times when you KNOW you're crazy. And times when you say you CAN'T do it, like when UPS drops off two cartons of books on your doorstep. Actually I had a day like that yesterday, when I said I absolutely can't do this.... even after 2 six-year stints at it. So I'd say you sound pretty well-prepared.... ;-)
glad I could help with the primary questions. Good luck with what ever you choose for school.
