Motherhood

Joy of Motherhood #1853: Fishing poop out of the bathtub.

Joy of Motherhood #1854: Not dryheaving while fishing poop out of the bathtub because you have had the joy of doing it BEFORE and have evidently built up super human immunity.

I'm so sorry! You must be a better mom than me- I always dry heaved when that happened.

Worst job ever. :) Last time I had to deal with it, Sophie fished it out for me, so I just had to clean it up off the ground.

I have soooo been there! We had a designated slotted spoon that we use for such occasions. It is now in retirement -- let's hope it stays there!

So not fun! Glad you didn't have to clean up vomit on top of poop:)

Evan was king of pooping in the tub when he was little. We quickly learned to give him fast baths. We put him in, washed him, rinsed him off and got him out. No playing in the tub for him.

Jamie and I have discussed changing the name of my blog to: "delight in the every OTHER day" because poop happens and that is just NOT very delightful :(

Oh I have so been there- the best was when one twin pooped and the other got so scared of it! Instead of dry heaving I was laughing.

My kids think its HILARIOUS to be swimming in the tub with a terd. I just have to fish it out quietly and end the bath early without explaining why!

Oh I remember those days. I don't miss them but I do remember them. Mine are all grown up now well not grown up but older 9, 11, 13. So really I have moved on to some other things, like a teenager, a pre-teen and then the one who keeps telling me it isn't fair that the other two get to stay up and he doesn't.
