My New Weightloss Plan

My friend Shannon introduced me to Dance Dance Revolution last night. We ran out and bought one today. Holy cow, this thing is SO fun. I know I am about 10 years behind the times, but when DDR first came out in arcades I was a junior high teacher and I knew better than to be seen in arcades. So here it is, I am a week shy of my 33rd birthday and I am trying this for the first time.

At first I was horrible uncoordinated. I was tripping over my own feet and falling off the mat. But after the kids went to bed I worked on it for about 30 minutes straight and I really think I am getting the hang of it. Of course I have disabled the hand motions (I am not THAT good) and I am still getting Cs and Ds on basic, but I am doing better!! And I was in a full on sweat by the time I was done. I may have burned off half of that Costco hotdog I had for lunch today...

I'm so glad to see a review of this game. We've been debating about whether to get this one, since we're all terribly uncoordinated! If I quit answering my phone and the curtains are always closed I guess you'll know I bought it.

Well you didn't waste any time, did you? haha. I'm glad you are enjoying the game. I hadn't played in a long long time, but now I'm in the groove and loving it! I think it may become MY workout/bonding time with Payton during Anna's nap each day.
When you do turn the hand markers back on let me know, because I will be bowing at your feet. :)

We have one and Brian and the girls love it. I think, as demonstrated on Friday, that I need to wait until I am not pregnant before trying it out. Maybe we should all practice for six months and then have a rematch DDR party....

Sounds fun! We just played Rock Band last night at a friend's house, and I also like guitar hero. I'm trying to convince Joel to let me get one for these games. I've never tried Dance Dance Revolution, but what a great idea for exercise. More fun than the treadmill, I'm certain.

So fun. My college age brother brought this home to my parents' house for Christmas break one year. It was hilarious and I was so uncoordinated. I did get a bit better after a couple rounds thank goodness. If I lived closer I'd come workout on it with you. We could have a little dance off.

I love love love this too and always end up sweating my trash off. I usually look pretty silly but who cares. ;) So glad you found it! ;)
