Hunched over my sewing maching. I got THIS in the mail today:

I am sew (hee hee) excited to try this!! I am heading to the fabric store today to pick out some cute fabrics. I took a look at the pattern and I think I can do it. Anyone want to be gifted my first attempt?? Who has a birthday coming up? You don't care if the ties are too short or crooked, or if the pleats are lopsided, do you?
Brian is firmly planted in the leather recliner, well into hour three of March Madness. I think we are going to model this weekend after the Brown's Annual Pig Out. I bought a bunch of fun snacks at the store, he has the next two days off from work, and he is just going to enjoy the experience. Or try to. Spring Break also started today, so the house is a little more chaotic than usual. We are also going to the temple tonight to do sealings, so he'll be up late trying to catch up on the games he missed. Who signed us up for a sealing assingment during March Madness, anyway??? Ooh, that is so cute! I love it! I've been looking for a good apron pattern -- that just might be it!
LOL about March Madness. We're not too into sports around here (except occasionally Tarheel basketball), so sometimes I have to be reminded that March and basketball go together. ;)
Is Brian going to have a little ear piece in at dinner listening to the games? Will he be randomly breaking out in cheers? He might need to sit at a different table!
I love your aprons! My birthday isn't until September, but I am having a baby soon!
That is too cute! BTW my birthday is coming up in April (hint, hint)!
Oh my goodness, that is just SO darling, I would wear that in public! For real! I'm serious, until I can afford a sewing machine I will totally pay you to make me something that cute. Or you could just remember that my birthday is in May!?! And that I'm your sons favorite babysitter ;) Or at least that he is one of my favorite little ones to spend time with :) Okay, I'll stop, this was meant to just be a compliment!
My cousin graduated in fashion design and she said (9 months ago) that she would whip out some new aprons for me if I just brought her the fabric, but then she went and fell in love and moved away and I hardly see her anymore, so I guess it's time to just figure this sewing thing out for myself!
Love that apron. Have Brian enjoy the basketball a little extra for Tim. He has finals and a 15 page paper looming in front of him so I don't know how much he will get to watch. Enjoy the temple!
LOVE LOVE this pattern! I'll take one, for sure! So cute -- you could probably wear it out in public and people wouldn't think twice.
Enjoy the next couple of days. The beautiful thing about the pig out is, you buy all this junk food and treats and then you don't even think about cooking. Dinner is a plate of crackers, cheese, and oreos. Wa-la!
That is darling! Can't wait to see your finished product and see what fabrics you used. I've never made an apron...I really shoud huh? Good luck dude, it looks very cute and flattering!
LOVE IT! I need to jump into this. FUN AND CUTE!
I didn't know you had a husband as obsessed with March Madness as mine!! KC scheduled his vacation around the blessed event...he's been off since last Friday. We're big Duke fans, so we had a heart-stopper today. They only won by 1 point, and he yelled so loud that he scared Peyton half to death! Poor kid. She should be used to it by now, though. At least no remote control was thrown, so I should be thankful!!
A couple more stitches and you could have a dress!! A cute one at that! This is an awesome idea for gifts or ebay! You might be able to make a killing with these. You never know the cheap ugly fabric usually sells the quickest. Your bunco aprons looked great so I'm sure this will look better!
My 15 year anniversary is on April 18th! I love that apron but haven't bought the pattern yet. On a scale of 1-10, how hard is it? I am NOT an expert sewer but would rate myself about a 5 or 6.
That Apron is so cute!
